So… what does it actually do?
Retro4000 is a little sound toy. Tap a key to start its sound, then tap the same key to stop. Switch keys to change the sound. That’s the point: a small, tactile moment of play.
Why does the website stop after two plays?
This is a two-start preview. Starting a sound uses one play; stopping it does not. Switching to another sound uses another play. The counter is saved in this browser’s local storage. It is a local demo limit, and clearing that storage resets it.
Is there a subscription?
No. The iPhone app is free to install, with a one-time purchase to unlock the full toy. The final price will appear in your local App Store. No purchase is taken on this website.
How does a gift work?
Buy a prepaid gift inside the app. Write a message or choose a preset, then send its one-time code using your iPhone’s share sheet. The recipient installs Retro4000, enters the code, and sees your message. They pay nothing further.
